Dog Splash Days 2011

This incredibly popular event returns for its 5th year to the Central Coast. We all know that dogs love to swim so we have again reserved the Templeton Community pool to give our pooches a chance to hit the water and have some fun. We’ll have beach balls, retrieval toys, and experienced dog handlers in the water to make this a truly memorable event.
Dogs only are allowed in the pool. Dog handlers and trainers will be in the water to ensure the safety of dogs. Dog life vests and ramps will be available. Dogs with reservations will be admitted before walk-ins.
This year has a revised and expanded schedule:
Little Dog and Senior Dog Swim
Friday, September 9 from 1:30 pm - 3 pm
Limited to dogs under 30 pounds, puppies younger than 1 year old, and older dogs.

Friday, September 9 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Note: The 3 pm time slot is sold out. Space is available for 4 pm and 5 pm swim sessions. Purchase tickets at the gate. Walk-ins are accepted
Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11 from 10 am to 3 pm
All dog sizes and ages are welcome. Swim session is limited to 45 minutes; dogs are admitted on the hour. Space is limited.
Admission
Admission is $20 at the gate. Dogs with paid reservations prior to September 8th are admitted before same day walk-ins on a space available basis.
As of Friday September 9th, the following times slots are sold out:
Friday: 3 pm
Sunday: Noon, 2 pm

Rules and information:
Dogs must have paper proof of current rabies vaccination. Your most recent veterinary bill usually has this information. Dogs must wear collars and enter and exit the facility on leashes. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior must be removed immediately. Owners are liable for damage or injury inflicted by their dogs. Puppies under 4 months old are not allowed. Male dogs over 7 months old must be neutered. Only dogs allowed in the swimming pool. (Note: Dog water therapists and dog trainers will be in the pool to assist dogs).
Event is held at Templeton Community Pool on the corner of 6th Street and Old County Road in Templeton.
